Reporting to the Store Manager, the job involves general butchery responsibility for large Tininga Limited Supermarkets in the busy Mount Hagen City. The preferred candidates would be capable of maintaining a high standard of butchery and demonstrate the ability to bone and trim meat from beef carcasses into steaks, chops, roast and other cuts and has the ability to maintain courteous quality customer service.

 

Ideal requirements would be:

    • Minimum Grade 10/12 education.

Hilans Fres Extension Officer 

Hilans Fres is a division of the Tininga Group of companies, developed in
response to the need for highlands vegetable and fruit growers to access major
markets.

Hilans Fres works in partnership with local
farmers to source supplies grown to its quality standards through the provision
of free extension services.     

Hilans Fres has established a well-developed
produce supply chain from farm to plate include substantial investment in its
cool chain management systems maintaining optimum temperatures through to
markets.

Its growth
is also dependent on its ability to support and train farmers in their efforts
to improve productivity and quality and to genuinely become world class
growers. Hilans Fres now requires an experienced extension officer to join its
extension team.  

Hilans Fres is looking for
outstanding candidates with the following experience, training and attributes.

 

        
Solid agricultural or
horticultural background with tertiary qualifications in horticulture,
agriculture or agronomy.

        
A minimum 3 years field
experience working in the horticulture industry with focus in high altitude
crops in the Highlands. 

        
Demonstrate technical skills
in agronomy, good agricultural practices with a keen interest in horticulture
extension and the ability to assist farmers in vegetable farming and training.

        
Exposure to horticultural
value chains and the ability to enforce Hilans Fres quality standards at the
farm.

        
Inherent understanding of
horticultural extension programs but also able to demonstrate a willingness to
think outside the box in taking extension and supply systems to a much more
effective and productive level.

        
Experience in using farm
production planning and scheduling software will be an advantage. 

        
Outstanding planning and time
management skills

        
A true leader, with strong
communication and negotiation skills
