BUTCHER APPRENTICESHIP TRAINEE
Tininga is taking on a second batch of trainees for the Butcher Apprenticeship program in 2026. The program is designed to develop young and energetic Papua New Guineans who would be interested in building a career as a professional butcher. The Program will provide hands-on experience, training and coaching to develop in-depth skills, in areas of boning, small goods and retail butcher.
We are seeking suitable and enthusiastic Butcher Apprenticeship Trainees with excellent interpersonal skills who are self-motivated, energetic and have the passion and drive to undergo the butcher apprenticeship program with outmost commitment and discipline. The candidates should demonstrate honesty, resourcefulness and attention to detail.
KEY EXPERTISE:
- Have a minimum PNG Grade 10/12 certificate (Diploma would be a bonus)
- Have worked in a Retail Business environment or similar.
- Have some understanding in meat processing and sales.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to learn willingly in a classroom setting, on the job and commitment to completing set assessments and projects and meeting deadlines.
- Able to juggle work and studies and willing to put in long hours
- Applicant must be a resident of Mt Hagen
